What makes Charlie’s portrait interesting is the diversity of brushwork. There’s the poofy fur on the head which is soft blended brush strokes. Below that there’s the silky ears that have more defined longer strokes. Finally the body which has the classic poodle curls represented by quick marks that catch the sheen in the coat.
