Toby was completed back in August 2019. A happy samoyed in his backyard in the ambient evening light. Normally I don’t paint subjects that are being lit from behind because it can cause lighting issues. In Toby’s case those issues were minimal. It’s rare to be able to capture the glow of white fur simultaneously with the right lighting and I couldn’t pass it up!
